Old thread but I just installed these filters and searched for someone else with this noise. It's a bit of a strange whoosh in my car, and worryingly sounds like it's only coming from the right side rather than evenly on both sides. Does this match your experience?

Following up: dropped the car off at the service center this morning for something unrelated and had the foreman ride along -- he tells me this is a normal/expected noise, nothing to worry about.

FWIW it's much more common with the tune. Uninstalled it and found it much harder to trigger. That makes sense: it's compressor surge, which happens when the throttle closes but the compressor is still spinning and forcing air in. More boost -> more compressor surge.

I hear this same sound on my car, and it’s normal to me, but I’m also coming from a MKIV Supra.

I’d install some BOVs, but I’m sure our cars have diverter valves that recirculate.
