Hello,
So after years of hard work I am finally able to buy my dream car but I have one issue. I live in a city with ALOT of speed pumps some of them a little rough on cars. I used to have Audi A7 with sport suspension and it lived well with no issues, I am worried about the ride height of the 992 compared to A7.
My other option is the cayenne coupe as a safer option.
What do you think about the ride height compared to to a car like A7?
992 with be my Daily Driving car
Thanks

What kayjh said—get the FAL option without the SD package and you should be fine! You just have to know that it will be a little different than the A7 :-)

There are speed bumps and potholes everywhere in my city. Our 992 without SPASM, Sport Design or FAL is just fine. In my view (and now backed up by experience) FAL is absolutely unnecessary on a standard PASM-equipped car without a Sport Design front end.

Tons of speed bumps, steep driveways etc where I live. No problem. Don't worry about it. I have standard fascia, no FAL.

Don't you dare buy a cayenne coupe if your heart is set on a 911!
buy the 992, you'll find a way to make it work and taking that nasty speed bump in your neighborhood at a crazy angle to avoid scraping will become part of the fun.

To provide some additional perspective, I recently bought a 992 C2S without the sports bumper but with sports PASM and FAL. I would definitely recommend FAL as depending on the road condition including ramps, bumps, and entry and exit points from residential or commercial property you will scrap the bottom front part of your car. With FAL I don't worry about having to take ramps on weird angles and FAL is super easy to use. I will definitely being getting FAL again on a 992 GT3 or turbo if I can't get a GT3 allocation.
I also have an Audi TTRS which is quite a bit lower than an A7. You will find the 911 to be a lot lower than the A7 as I find my 911 to be at least an inch lower than my TTRS.
Similar to the comments from the other folks, if your dream is to have a 911 the don't settle for anything else as its a fantastic DD sports car.

I too worried about this and was concerned I didn’t have FAL but in 6 months of driving only lightly scraped once or twice on a wide range of city and country roads / the front lip on the stock model is quite soft and flexible and doesn’t suffer much scratching even after a scrape. So I wouldn’t worry and agree that a Cayenne (or a Macan) is no substitute for a 992

What’s embarrassing and what most wont admit. Is the moment you scrape the front end even while having FAL lol
In my case, I was coming up to a spot that would need it lifted while approaching straight on. I had a line of cars behind me, and didn’t have it ready in time to lift. Ended up bottoming out the front end. The pressures in the moment and partly not remembering to do it was the reason behind my fail.
Now I just make a conscious effort to change my approach angles and I won’t spec FAL again.
Some who are religious about using it are another story all together. If you have the FAL in the back of your mind at all times, then you’ll be prepared when the moment approaches.
