I am still lamenting my Cayman 2.7L. It was so much fun keeping it rev’d, but I do prefer the dynamics of the 911. I think that bang for the buck (a loaded 4.0 is about $115K), it’s a good deal in Porsche terms.

To be honest, I am excited about my incoming 992, but concerned about the software issues and some of the “over-tech”, like Homelink and the menu driven nature of the car services. There is something appealing about the more analog 4.0.
$95k gets you a well-optioned 4.0, re-gearing is around 10k with labor, I think; two or three more for an exhaust and you're golden. Still way cheaper than C2S.

1975 Triumph TR6

1963 Triumph Spitfire 4

So, it’s possible but not likely. I had five cars at one point and just want to keep it down to two. After this 992, I might go to a Lotus Elise. I really don’t like the design of the current Miata. It looks like a hot mess to me.
ever own an Alfa Duetto Spyder from the 60s?
Im thinking about adding one to my mix

No, I’ve never owned an Alfa but that is another great car. There was one in aqua marine that I was lusting after, but the bid went crazy on it. Right now that market is a bit squirrelly so be careful not to overpay.

I’ve spent plenty of street and track time behind the wheel of a Duetto. One of the great Alfa’s - and I’ve owned 19 of them. Alfa’s that is, not 19 Duettos!

That 1600 engine with dual side-draft Webers, wonderful gearbox, I could go on. If you’re looking for a pre-emission Alfa this is a great choice.

I never owned a Duetto, but I traded my '76 X1/9 for a new '78 Alfa Spider. I loved that car.
