Nice spec manual gang for life!

I would personally keep the red tail lights and calipers (especially saving almost $2k!). I love the Adventurine green think it would look good with red accents. Also I just never have been a fan of clear tail lights. Reminds me too much of the "ricey" old altezza tail lights from the Fast and Furious era lol.

Otherwise what was the thought behind the lightweight glass but then adding more weight with the bigger fuel tank? How big is the standard fuel tank? Maybe I don't drive enough but I have never had an issue with tank size/range in anything except my heavily modified CTS-V that gets like 8mpg with a 15 gallon tank!

It does have that vibe to it.

+1. The more opportunities I have to stop to fill up, and admire the 911; the better. Not to mention, you can get easily 350-400 miles with the standard tank. I don't know if I'd want to be driving that long without a nice pit-stop anyhow. YMMV

Otherwise what was the thought behind the lightweight glass but then adding more weight with the bigger fuel tank? I may delete the big tank - its just nice to only fill up once in a blue moon. I didn't spend on the glass to save the 8 lbs. as that is just skipping a nice dinner or two. I did it to decrease road noise and I hope it works.

Okay Okay, I will delete the tank - makes sense.

I do understand the monochromatic guys out there & why they do it. But you'll see me driving my white/black 992 w/ red tails & yellow calipers

It's hard to go wrong spec'ing your own vehicle, but here are my thoughts:

- I'd remove PORSCHE in black since the silver ties with the wheels and exhaust pipes.
- If I were spec'ing a 21, I would add the fuel tank - why not have the convenience of a larger tank at a nominal cost? Getting gas is a chore.
- While I prefer the clear taillights (I have them) on lighter cars, I generally like the standard red on darker colored cars. I don't think they look ricey at all, but TETO.
- Two options I find that are very functional and nice to have - Surround View and LCA.

This is the fun part until you have your car... good luck with your final choices!

This would be my tweaks - just a little over budget. For me, lighting is everything, so added PLDS+. Love the lightweight aspect. You asked for opinions, so gave mine - but, there are no wrong options!! My AG MT has been built and waiting for the boat.

Sorry, but that is the weirdest justification I have heard in some time. I do not see a scenario in which a larger fuel tank would not be beneficial... You can look at your car whenever you want en route. The range is not THAT great not to spend 200 bucks on a 24 gal. tank. Always found it annoying to have a small tank even though the car is good on MPG.

I like this build a lot anyway, it's got no thrills, no additional assistants, nothing. Very focused. I would just add PDLS+ lamps which give you adaptive functions, e.g. swiveling headlights. Good for night driving. Alcantara headliner is nice too but not so important.

Loading a lot of fuel doesn’t go with the lightweight aspect of the car, so not sure if It fits the overall design. I’ve driven thousand mile trips and more with the standard tank and never felt I needed a larger tank. It’s a nice to have option that isn’t required, but for the price, you have a point.

Im guessing you didn’t see the YMMV.

To each their own. I don’t mind filling up every 400 miles, but some find it annoying I guess. Not adding the weight is a bonus. Taking it all in while you fill up isn’t for everyone, as most see this car as a DD tool. I don’t see it that way. YMMV? lol

If I plan on aggressive driving, I just don’t fill it all the way to 23.7 gal. If I’m just doing DD, I just fill it up. Problem solved. Lightweight when I want it to be, lots of gas for long trips.

Beautiful spec!. My build would have almost exact same things, except for interior. Debating between Sport-tex seats w/ chalk stitching/blk leather, vs truffle brown club leather. Everything else in your build mimics what I 'd like in mine when I can get an allocation.

My two cents. I'd go with the silver Porsche logo and add lane change assist. I would not choose black wheels. The Classics are a perfect match for Aventurine.

Yes, it is a focused build with no big frills, just great looks and driving experience in reasonable comfort. Let me briefly explain my logic. My Touring departs my hands tomorrow - best car I have ever owned for driving experience. A very sad day. A health diagnosis at 48 years of age in May has "inspired" me to go from 7 cars to 3. I can't be without a 911, so I am buying a 992 and going to put miles on this enjoying the hell out of it. I didn't want to rack up miles on my Touring but I still managed 7k+ in 18 months.

Hence, the "no frills" LW aspect because when you track it you can feel weight. I will track it. And second, I wanted some comfort: ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, insulated glass, Bose - despite the fact they all add weight. Finally, because I will drive it from Austin to DFW and Houston for work and road trip it around the country enjoying this place and its people more, I thought the big tank might be nice even though it probably adds ten pounds over the 17ish gallon one, not including the gas at about 6 lbs. per gallon.

All of the above suggestions are excellent and I am going to tweak the build based on your insight. My only real internal debate is the PORSCHE in silver - it is just so huge when I saw it in person, I was trying to minimize it in black even though I have the poverty tail pipes. It is like a big mole on the end of someone's nose that you keep staring at but do not want to; sorry. And, I like PDLS mainly because you gain the auto high beam and the older I get the lazier I am, but it does add weight when you make them swivel and tilt . . . . . I do not like paying Porsche more money to make my car fatter, oh, sorry, heavier.

And, I always go back to black leather with chalk stitching for durability. However, I saw the slate and chalk in person, and WOW! Thanks for all of the kind comments as one of the things I enjoy is this forum, and learning from all of the well informed and passionate people here - plus, although overpiced for the privilege, Porsche lets us individualize our cars. It is fun to see what people love about and in their 911.

I love your build of my car. Luckily, I have a little time to take this all in and think about a few changes.
