First time poster... been looking at 992s (and 991.2s, which I really like as well).
The 992s do not seem to have a leather dash option. Am I missing something? The cars I've looked at all seem to be missing it - but I've seen it on the 991.2s.
The leather interior option includes a lot of the dash. You can also spec a lot more leather than this option provides. Take a look at the Configurator. If you select the leather interior there will be stitching at the top of the dash closest to the driver, along with stitching at the top of the door panels. Chalk stitching is available at no extra charge. Many other colors of stitching are also available, for serious extra money. You can have lots of leather for lots of extra money, but the basic leather interior also covers some of the dash.
You have to option the leather interior in order to get the leather dash. They don't offer a standalone option. The closest thing is the "Standard Interior with Leather Package" offered on the base model. This give you a leather dash and leather on-top of the door panels.
Yep, smartbot is correct. Our 992 C2S has full-leather Black with Chalk Stitching. I can confirm the dash is leather, just as our 9Y0 Cayenne Turbo with Club Leather.
You'll get a nice grade of rubbery plastic if you skip this option. It's not terrible, but doesn't quite rise to the $100K price point in my opinion.
not a deal breaker if you don't have it, but if you have the option I would def do it, makes it look much more premium and I love the feel of leather, hate the rubbery plastic.
