Hello folks,
I'm trying to decide whether I should spring for pre-paid maintenance on my 992, but can't seem to find the service schedule anywhere. Does anyone have a copy?

It was hard as they didn't have actual prices for the 992 at my dealer in Redwood City CA, but using the 991.2 prices it wasn't worth it.

My plan is to do 5K oil changes anyway, and honestly at $495 a pop, I just found a top notch independent to do my paid services and will just use the dealer for warranty work. $250/hr and crazy shop hour estimates is insane for any car, much less a mass produced car.

I have 3 I can go to, but the closest for me is Adam at Carrera Motors in San Mateo. I get my own Mobil 1 C40 0W-40 off Amazon and l and bring it with, he charges me $100 labor plus cost of parts.. so about $140 with tax.

The cost sounds reasonable. My understanding is Mobil1 esp x3 0w-40 is the only C40 currently, but is this available from amazon? I couldn't find this one in US at all.

Yes, for now our only option is the ... It's on amazon at that link, but for some reason fewer options as Prime... maybe they're temporarily out of it in their warehouse, but there is at least one source I saw on that link above.

But you can still get it. Worse case, you can pay the exorbitant $15/quart price at the dealer but just order it on Amazon for July delivery.

They have the filter and other parts you'll need at their shop.

I’m not so much asking whether it’s worth it, just if anyone knows the actual schedule. Can’t seem to find it online.

We don’t get the first oil change for free in Canada. The price is 2500 for 3 years and if I choose to lease it, it’ll reduce my payment by about 50 bucks a month by bringing up the residual 1 percent.

If I choose to lease (we have a luxury tax here and due to the way it works out, leasing works out to an effective 2.7% interest rate despite PFS charging 4.99), I’m leaning towards getting it. Not bad for the ability to walk away at the end.

As they say, one in the hand is worth two in the bush. Of course Porsche will gladly take your maintenance money "early" so they can use it to their advantage in the market. Instead, use that money to invest. Let it work for you, and then pay as you go for maintenance. Don't let Porsche hold your money

Like I said, I’m only considering it at the moment. Im just looking for some information to make an educated decision.

My circumstances are a bit different than most here. We have a luxury tax that changes these calculations. Like I said, it reduces my lease payment by around 50 a month (plus tax so like 70) I end up paying more if I decide to buy the vehicle out at the end, but who knows if I’ll still want the car at that point and it ends up being less painful anyways because the buyout price is below the luxury threshold.

that's $5/quart cheaper than my dealer ... but on Amazon it's $7/quart, so it's a no brainer.

Years? no miles? then it's gonna depend on how you drive.. it's $500 or so for each oil change, and $1100 for the 20K and $2400 for the 40K here In the US.
