question regarding windshield dmage repair
A rock hit the windshield and caused a chip about the size of 1/2 of a dime.
There a 3 small spiders extending beyond the chip for about 4mm or so.
The chip is on the passenger side?
Worthwhile attempting a repair?
Safe lite or dealer?

I'd repair it, especially with spider lines forming.
Contact your insurance company, windshields may be covered.
I'd contact the dealer. I just don't trust Safelite. Yes, your dealer may also outsource to Safelite, but if they did, then the dealer would be the ones dealing with Safelite when they mess up (not you), and they will.

I had a similar thing happen to my 992 about 3 weeks ago. I called the dealer and they said they outsource to SafeLite and recommended I go directly through them.
Just make sure you request Safelite order OEM glass.
They came to my house and did a great job - looks like new. Total job took them about 2 hours.

Keep one or two of these on hand at all times. Super easy to do yourself.
