The first 5 options that were non-negotiable for me were-

Manual transmission w/ sport package (PSE, Sport Chrono and Sport PASM)
4S
RS Spyder Wheels
Rear wheel steering
Color

There were a lot of other things that are great and are on my build --but these were the 5 most important (and sorry if I cheated by putting the Manual Transmission w/ sport package on...it covers a few things but all are important to me).

My McLaren 720s - which is not a terribly loud car, did it a little different instead of a tube feed - they have vents in the front of the fire wall (just behind the seats) - that allow sound to enter the cabin.

Actually, Mercedes does not yet use artificial sound. I have one, it's the real deal.

The pops and crackles are not PSE related. They are there with the standard exhaust in Sport mode. With both exhausts the crackles and pops are gone with either Normal or Sports Plus mode. It’s all silly theatre.

1. SC - must have
2. S+ seats - minimum!
3. PASM - now standard!
4. Full leather - please! match the price of your car
5. PDK - yeah I said it
6. PCCB - once you own them, you'll never go back
7. GT steering wheel - should be standard
8. PSE - it's just plain fun

I take it you did not spec PSE and have zero regrets about that decision.

Non-negotiable for me in no particular order (because they are all non-negotiable):
- Jet Black Metallic
- PCCB
- Sports package
- LED Matrix lights (yes I know this one is ridiculous, I don't care)

Borderline non-negotiable:
-Leather/Sport-tex interior

I would have been happy with Carrera Exclusive with JBM paint or standard painted JBM wheels or RS Spyder, which is what I ended up with.

Actually I did. I bought into the fear the filters would suppress too much of the engine character. And I couldn’t find a stock exhaust car to compare.

Since then I’ve spent some time in stock exhaust cars with a few thousand miles on them. Nothing is lacking in my opinion (others may feel differently). I also prefer the four pipe look.

PSE does add some deeper fuller notes to the exhaust. But I just don’t feel I would miss it. it’s not a step change in engagement and thrill IMO.

Plus it’s all a bit artificial, in the sense that it’s not a straight through high flow sports exhaust. It’s just a trumpet. Now if it released power, I would not hesitate to spec it again.

All that said, I am very happy with how I spec’d my car given what I could find out before I signed the order.

Tough choice.. as I like them all, and wish I sprung for a couple of more... but here goes.

-Chalk
-PCCB
-RAS (Rear Axle Steer)
-18 way seats
-LED Matrix
-Sport Chrono Package
-Spyder Wheels
-Bermester
-Premium Package
-Night Vision
-Interior Leather Trim
-ACC (Automatic cruise control)
-Lane Keep Assist
-SPASM
-Yellow dials / belts
-Body color Sunroof
-Comfort Access
-Heated Steering

I agree 100% and why I got the standard exhaust with the quad tips on my C2S. I have never been fond of the look of the oval pipes and there is no performance enhancement with the PSE.

Must have options:
18-ways
PTV+
SC
Black Sport Exhaust
360 camera
Bose
Carrera Classics
LCA

Options I would never spec:
Sunroof
Colored gauges or belts
Burmester (have severe hearing loss)
Extra dead cow or contrasting stitching
Stripes
GT steering wheel (standard feels better)

Options I like but didn't spec (next time)
Sport-Tex (wasn't available when I ordered)

Side note on the standard wheel. You can see the outer gauges better.

I have the GT wheel though. So no outer gauges for me. I just pretend they don't exist? lol

I got the GT steering wheel with carbon trim because it looks awesome.

But the standard wheel does feel better. I hate those lumps at 10 and 2.

1. MT w/ SC
2. LED Matrix
3. Glass roof
4. Paint I like
5. Rims I like
6. 14/18 way seats/heated/vented
7. Heated Steering Wheel

I ordered more stuff than this, but these are the essentials. I would have ordered a C2 with MT if I could.
