Removing Letters PORSCHE
Here is the plastic part which includes the letters.
You can see that the silver letters are sitting on black blocks. Before I started I thought that the blocks are full. These blocks have holes and interlock with the bumper on which ist this plastic sitting. It took some time to fill the blocks then cut them, make nice clean surface and paint.
I did not know that this was the easy part.
On the bumper these locks had to removed too. Unfortunately, when I became my 911 first what I did was PPF, therefore the PPF from the bumper had to be removed, locks cuted, make the surface even, polished, the whole bumper painted.
Nothing is moving because of the missing interlocks, the plastic is still well fixed in the whole construct.

All the carbon parts are not full carbon. These are original Porsche parts laminated with real carbon fabric.
I had also the option to let make whole carbon parts and interestingly it would be not that much more money and time spent.
I went with the laminated parts because of the Porsche warranty. As these are original parts, replaced by Porsche centre, the Porsche warranty is valid. At least
that is what I was told.

When I did order my 911 I did order it with carbon mirrors (6FQ Exterior Mirror Upper Trims Carbon). It was later removed by Porsche as there were not enough carbon mirrors, therefore I switched to mirrors in exterior colour (6FU Exterior Mirrors painted in Exterior Colour). Now I happy that it went with this, because you get only upper part in carbon and to match exactly the carbon with the part on the bottom would be difficult.
The carbon fiber weave and colour matches pretty close the original carbon on the roof.
Like the final look. Red foot and carbon mirror. Got inspired by 991.2 sport carbon mirrors.

Even Though I did not order full colour crests I did get them. Do all satin black rims get them? I did order second sets of caps in China. Gloss black ones. I was surprised that, when it arrived, it had also full colour crests and when fitted the black colour difference was not noticable. Caps are covered with black film to hide the crest but not fully, the relief can still be seen.
