Default 4S Inbound! Thoughts?

Hello All!

With this being my first 911, I’m more excited then you can imagine on the delivery of my 4S anticipated for late next week.

Having said that, are there any items current owners would suggest I check before taking possession of the vehicle?

Cant wait to become an “actual” member!!!! Pictures coming as soon as she hits the ground!

Thanks for this. I am also compiling a list based off of posts here.

1. Wheel alignment
2. Comfort tire pressure
3. Shipping blocks removed
4. Signs of shipping damage, inside and outside
5. Speakers

Definitely shipping blocks. Easy one to miss since they changed the blocks. They are orange pucks inside the strut. Easy to spot in the wheel well.

Look over paint closely. I've picked up dings and scratches on delivery.

Get some clear turn signals. Makes a huge difference in appearance and surprisingly cheap.

I remember my first 911 delivery. Go. Slow. Savor the moment. Take a ton of pictures. Bring your wife and kids..or your dad (or both parents). It's an event. And it's all about YOU.

Let the dealer do their job, no need to go in there like inspector gadget. Everything is under warranty, no worry! Its like buying any car... you look things over (exterior/interior), sign and drive.

Drive it hard, these things dont break... they are meant to be driven.

I like a giant BOW on mine... but thats me! Enjoy!

Finally!!! She has arrived and will be taking delivery tomorrow!

Will have pics uploaded tomorrow evening as long as the wife doesn’t kill me.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention... She doesn’t know yet! 🤪

LOL, are you sure hiding this from wife was good idea? I hope you picked her favorite colour. Keeping you in my thoughts and hope you survive. If we don’t get pics by this time tomorrow, will alert the authorities to start looking for you,
