Wouldn’t it be easier and cheaper to just buy an iPhone rather than rip the dash apart? I understand this is a business decision, but after seeing your post and what is involved, I would just change my phone.

The wireless CarPlay integration is seamless and decently dependable. That's saying a lot for Porsches

But yes Porsche have done a great job of wireless CarPlay integration. It's CarPlay itself that is heavily limited comparison to the upgraded unit.
