Default Trip odometer reset

Am I missing something here? I am trying to reset the trip odometer on the instrument cluster located with the regular odometer. I can't seem to find a button or reference in the manual. I reset the pcm trip info but the trip odometervwill not zero out. Any help?

Switch to the left screen in the cluster and scroll to the odometer page. Then press and hold the scroll button. The odometer will start flashing after a few seconds and reset after another few.

I don't switch to any screens--just press and hold the right side of the steering wheel scroll **** until the odometer starts flashing and the trip odometer resets. It appears to be separate from all of the other trip odometers.

Thanks for the help. It works just fine!
I will say Porsche manual could use a bit more descriptive info.

It's in there on page 116: Tube 2, Mileage and trip mileage, Resetting the trip counter.

I will say, though, the manual is not written or organized very well compared to others.

As an engineer I have no need for manuals

I didn’t know how to do this but was determined not to look it up in the manual, TYVM rennlist.

I can’t begin to explain why this was less unnatural to me.

A little humor to pass the time ....

A doctor, a lawyer, and an engineer are all sentenced to death via the guillotine...

The executioner tells the men, “if I pull the lever and the blade doesn’t drop, you’re free to go. And your sentence will count as paid in full.”

As the Doctor steps up to the guillotine, the executioner asks, “would you like to be face down or face up?” “I’ll go face up. It won’t matter,” replies the doctor.

The executioner pulls the lever, but nothing happens. “I guess you’re free to go,”

The lawyer steps up to the guillotine. the executioner asks, “would you like to be face down or face up?” “I’ll go face down. I don’t want to see when happens.”

Once again, the executioner pulls the lever and nothing happens. The lawyer is released and free to go.

The engineer walks up to the guillotine. the executioner asks, “would you like to be face down or face up?” “Hmmm. Ah, what the hell I’ll go face up,” responds the engineer.

As the executioner reaches for the lever, the engineer cries out, “Wait wait wait! I think I see the problem!”

The moral of the story .... Engineers aren't as smart as they sometimes think. 😂😉

I can report that when you pass 10,000km on the trip odometer, it rolls over back to 0. Happened to me at around 6200 miles yesterday. LOL
