Is it HD? Does it sound better than Apple Music? Experiences and recommendations welcome.

It works fine and is integrated with the speech command. That being said, I still find myself using Apple music more as I usually have CarPlay running anyway.

I use it exclusively thanks to the high res streaming. There are a few bugs via CarPlay (playlists sometimes not loading, etc) but the audio quality is outstanding.

Not quite what you asked but I was using Spotify. I would find the car would have issues connecting music over Bluetooth, I would have to kill the Spotify app and retry the connection a lot before it would eventually connect. A few days ago I switched back to Apple Music and haven’t had any issues since.

I also noticed the cars buttons for repeat and shuffle were not functional in Spotify and are in Apple Music.
