Currently thinking about getting the carbon mirrors for my 992. Has anybody seen them in person yet? Any good pics online except for those on the Porsche website?
Obviously they are not exactly cheap, I wonder if I can get the same looks much cheaper wrapping the stock ones with a very high quality carbon film... Any experience there?

No direct experience, but I expect any shop that does high-quality vehicle wraps could do CF mirrors (with vinyl) in their sleep.

I've seen them, they're stunning in person. I almost bought a Carmine car with CF roof and mirrors. Both were super impressive in person.

My car has them and has just landed in the UK. I'll post a photo once I pick the car up next week. I had them on my 991.2 GTS and that's why I ordered them on my 992.... Very neat little touch.

I ordered the aluminium PDK selector too.

It's all about the details.

I considered getting them but felt that you need the carbon roof to tie it all together. So I passed. Carbon roof is very cool but more money than I wanted to pay.

thanks for the replies guys. Guess I will have to see them in person to judge whether its worth the $$$. Probably also gonna talk to a wrapping shop....

Sort of relevant perhaps... did CF lip - CF mirror caps - and CF rear valence on a 440i hardtop cab and I have to say it is a subtle and attractive addition and separates it from the pack....but the car is black so ‘subtle’ is what my take away would be. It looks (imho) way better than the gloss black details (spoiler-mirror-valence) I have on my white RS3.

As promised, 992 carbon mirrors. It’s worth noting that the usual black plastic bits are now black gloss.

where did you get these?

as I say, its aftermarket carbon set.
it was produced by independent manufacturer and installed by AD, here, in Moscow
