More like a 991.3 Turbo S - same as the rest of the 992 lineup.

I still think the Carrera 4s is the best value. Tests show it can do 0-60 in 3.0 seconds instead of 3.4.

Which just means the 992 TTS will do 0-60 in 2.4 or even 2.3, instead of the 2.6 official time.

The Turbo S' base with destination is $204K, whereas the Carrera S is at $114K base. $90K difference on the base prices which is huge. Something in between like the GTS may be the better buy than the Turbo S. The regular Turbo base price will probably be around $175K. We all like more power but when the power increases come at such a huge price difference then we have to be more reasonable and can't go broke chasing power that we can never really use on a public street.

Also, there are threads on Rennlist about the huge Turbo depreciation hits, as I suspect this will only increase in the future. Especially when magazines everywhere are getting 0-60 of 3.0 seconds with a Carrera S.

I priced one to $231k on the USA configurator with the same options and color on a $150k Carrera S. 😧

We'll see what happens with this - the Turbo is not merely the sum of its parts. It does drive very differently. It's a heavier feeling car, but it also feels indestructible. The power delivery with the Turbo is physically violent and it feels like driving the car equivalent of Thor's hammer.

Porsche has done an amazing job with the C2S and I won't miss having the Turbo (I prefer a lighter feeling car with big power ) but that car does have its own kind of appeal.

I agree with the above. Having owned 5 TT cars of multiple generations they are just very capable and special cars that you can drive every day and won't get pushed around by much else on the road.
I like the new car very much, pricing is insane, but I bet it is a beast to drive. I'm looking forward to owners impressions not IPad speculation.

Similar to the 991, the interior of the turbo I essentially the same as the Carrera. That still makes no sense to me with that price difference.

Also makes no sense that a 911 costs the same as a Ferrari (Portofino).

^^This. Ok. A little more hp but still way down on Mclaren and Ferrari, in a bigger (and probably heavier) car. Significantly more $. What am I missing....Oh I forgot about the rain sensing throttle assist.

If you are cross-shopping the same price point, then you are looking a Ferrari Portofino or a McLaren GT (or the 570S) as alternatives. The TTS is comparable in terms of specs to both those cars.

It has some “quilting” on the seats and door panels ....

New turbo S has 590 lb-ft of torque it’s way more than 488 pista. I know turbo S might be heavier but for daily use is amazing comfort beast.
