Hello forum, just got this beauty back from the detailer, PPF'd with suntek and ceramic coated with G tech. Sport, prem, burmeister. My detailer wouldn't ppf the center console, he didn't want to get it wet and risk damaging the electronics, so he did 4 coats of ceramic on it. I told him everyone on here has done it and Xpel even makes a kit specifically for the 992, but he wanted no part of it. Have to respect his honesty. We'll see how it holds up but I'm with that other comment on here where if it gets real scratched up ill just replace it. I came from a 488 recently which i never drove, and a 458 spyder before that. I can honestly say this is the best all around daily driver, and now its pretty damn quick with the bump in power. Hope everyone is enjoying their rig as much as I do.
bordeaux red two tone, cant seem to upload image for some reason.
Big Congratulations . I endorse the color combo, really sharp. The Bordeaux red never seems to photograph well, it’s very rich in person, I am so happy I chose it too.
Did you prefer the 458 over the 488? I'm on the fence but want to pull the trigger soon. Thanks for the input

Despite looking fairly similar to non-Ferrari owners, the two were worlds apart which I'm sure you know all about. Being the last NA V8, my red 458 spyder sounded glorious, esp with the exhaust valves pinned open, and the top down. But it was dated, and the interior left me wanting more modern amenities. The 488 GTB in yellow didn't sound as bad as ppl feared being a turbo, it had more power, turbo lag was virtually nonexistent, and the interior was nicer. You actually had blue tooth that worked without having to buy a separate BT dongle off Amazon that plugged into the 9 pin. I know, these are small things you take for granted in a 30K Toyota camry but in these cars it's a big deal. Best of luck if you get one, you really can't make a bad decision between the two.
