On this the PSE valves were not yet open, that's the other video. Cycle normal, sport and sport plus, 3 revs each and repeat:

Same as above, PSE working:

Thanks for the videos! Do you notice any difference in the interior volume with the new Sport Cats?

In low revs, around town the pitch is different, not really louder. As the revs increase it gets louder but a good louder. No droning, as expected. A burbling becomes more apparent as you change gears, even in normal mode.
I thought I'd need to clamp the symposers but that's not the case.
In sport you car hear the spooling of the turbos far more than before.
Driving with the top down you can really appreciate the sound under heavy acceleration.

John how would you describe the change in the pops/burbles on deceleration with downshifts?

That didn't really changed much. A bit louder for sure. On sport mode the more significant change is the turbo whistle. Inside the car is more perceptible how louder it is, likely due to the symposer contribution.

I have to record a video in my work garage with a low roof to give a better sense of what happens. I promised that, but when I'm done with work I zone out and try to skedaddle as fast as I can...

Curious. Is the turbo hot side and manifold cast as one element on the 992? Or is it a separate exhaust manifold bolted to the turbo? Couldn't find any detailed pics or diagrams online..

Thanks for the feedback John!

I haven't pulled the heat shield off of one yet but that certainly seems to be the case, and is MUCH improved over the 991.2 design.

Best regards,
