I was planning on trying Vinyl to darken the reflectors and third brake light. $23 for 20"x36" sheet. A little less permanent and I don't trust myself with a paint can and achieving good results.

I did vinyl on the reflectors of a 570S a couple years ago. It would be fine on the reflectors of the 992 but it was much darker than I wanted in this case. And I think the brake light would be quite difficult to apply vinyl to. But I’d be interested to see how it works out!

Interested to see how the clear 3rd light looks. Anyone have any pictures of this option?

Edit: should've searched... Can you get just the 3rd light in clear, or do you have to do the whole rear end?

I used dark window tint film. Same effect but removable.

According to what I was able to find before ordering it was an all or nothing approach. I'm sure the after market could change that much like the front/side indicators. To me it was all about the exterior color and since I wanted the gentian blue the clear looked better (to me!). I think the red contrast works nicely with some other colors. I also liked the clear lenses with the black sport pipes. I left the Porsche name bright for a little contrast since I don't really go for the all black look...I liked the standard S wheels in satin platinum for similar reasons. I was glad I could spend a day driving around and looking at this stuff in person. Dealer pics tend to be horrible here at least.

Just noticed this thread. We've been offering paint-matched rear reflectors since the 991 was intro'd. Body color, perfect finish, same chemistry as the vehicle.

Paint matched (Gentian) rear reflectors.

In addition to Eric showing off his brand new touring, the products he offers are legit.

The reflector replacements are awesome. But he also offers custom colored badging for those that want to get extra freaky.

I think Suncoast has the clear 3rd brake light.

Bumperplugs painted rear reflectors on my 2022 992 Targa 4S (also did it on my 2020 992 C4S) - painted in body color. Eric and team, have a great product, and love the looks!

It came out pretty well overall...I'll probably use some polishing compound once the tint is 100% cured to smooth out the finish even further. But overall I like the look much more. I also too the opportunity to change the 911 logo to black. Now I'm trying to decide if I should make the Porsche logo black as well.

First pic is a before, the rest during/after.

nice job...BTW...real easy to remove the 3rd brake light w/o all the masking.
