Undeniably high-quality gear, with value-based (i.e. high) pricing. Personally I much prefer the sound of PSE, but understand why people go this route. One of the pluses of a 992 is it's not a "look at me" car; slapping on an Akrapovic changes that up, for better or worse depending on how much one values stealthiness in a high-performance vehicle.

They did a great job with the video. The Akrapovic is only available for 992'2 that come with the factory sport exhaust system.

If anyone is interested in these exhaust system, we have them on the shelf and can ship them to you immediately.

Thanks-
-Craig

This is with Cats so be mindful that just the pipe will not sound as deep.

According to Akrapovic* they recommend that you remap the ECU if you use the link pipes (with cats). I am not sure why this is necessary. I haven’t seen this recommendation from the other exhaust manufacturers.

I saw that but it need to check if they said the same for my 991.2 carrera T the ecu adjusted the air fuel automatically on mine. I put both on at 193 miles and now have 12,000 with no issues. Everyone I meet says how great the sound is but **** 11k it better sound good. Lol

It would be in Akrapovic’s best interest to provide trackside dB levels for exhaust. Tracks - and sanctioning bodies - are increasingly implementing strict noise regulations, and aftermarket suppliers need to provide the data to enable owners to make informed decisions. I don’t see that information anywhere on the Akrapovic site, and the question asked here has gone unanswered.

Here are the PCA noise regulations for Mont Tremblant (Quebec) and Calabogie (Ontario):

12.2 the maximum instantaneous sound level (LAF max) generated by each vehicle on the track and measured by using the "fast" meter response (0.125 second) and the A-weighted decibel scale (dBA), shall not exceed 92 dBA at any time measured at a distance of 15 meters;

Note that the 92 dBA limit is for a car under full throttle acceleration.

In addition, the Akrapovic exhaust is physically connected to the tips whereas OE systems are designed with a gap. If Akrapovic has done tests which show no significant heat transfer to the bumper cap and surrounding structures in severe use scenarios that could result in deformation, those data should be provided.

I don't believe this is the case. The Akrapovic exhaust tips mount to the inside of the bumper just like the OEM tips. There is no physical connection between them and the exhaust.

That’s actually a bonus, because it does help keep costs down in a rear end collision AND you could retain the stock tips to be a little stealthier.
