I really hate the muffled sound of the OPF filters, are they located in the down pipes? can they easily be removed by installing catless down pipes?
Thanks
The US Market 2020 992s don't have them and as a result, sound better than the European cars. Porsche has indicated that all new 911s will eventually have them. The new Turbo/Turbo S cars are confirmed for particulate filters in the US.
I don't doubt for a second that the non-GPF cars sound 'better' than our UK/EU counterparts, but I was surprised just how poorly the mic picked up sound when I recorded mine.
There is a significant bark on a cold start-up for example, which, being the child I am I asked my girlfriend to record one morning. When I played it back it sounded far shi**er than it does to the naked ear.
