It seems like my user profile 1 can’t be edited. Porsche servers were down briefly in the last couple days. On my home screen if I select profile 1 a spinning circle comes up that says “loading personalizations”. That never goes away. Anyone had this? The Porsche link ID was successfully recognized.

 

Re-running the setup wizard fixed the wonky profile.

Wait. What? You have to have a cell data connection to the Porsche mothership to load your personalizations whenever your start the car?

Or am I missing context?

 

No you don’t need a constant cellphone connection. Just initially to get the “my connect” app going. The app does have a connection tab that clearly showed I was not reaching the Porsche servers. And then calling the dealer confirmed that. My issue was really that my car ID 7 digit number was not registering when I took delivery because of the outage. The profile was screwed up because the setup wizard couldn’t complete during this time.
