They're definitely a matter of personal preference. I prefer the red, but then again, I am not going for monochromatic.

I love the clear taillights, especially with that build. They don't work on every color, but definitely makes the car look more aggressive and sleeker. Also improves the third brake light and I think it fits the light bar look perfectly too. Definitely looking forward to seeing this option hit cars coming out soon, would like to see them on the street.
In the configurator they looks tinted / smoked but in the real life Instagram photos the clear lens seems to reveal a white-ish element. I don't think it's going to look like the renderings.

I went with clear on a white build, the only option I picked that I felt unsure about after my build locked. I primarily picked it to have clear on the “bacon” strip others are referring to. We’ll see how it looks, I should have the car in the next week or so.

I am hoping that the lens will be available at some point so that I can swap the red ones out.
Holy crap thanks so much for posting this! This is identical to my build except that my car is a 2S and will have a different interior color. I've only ever been able to imagine what it'll look like from similar builds but this pretty much sums it up for me. I'm 10000000000x more excited now, late-March can't come any sooner.
I ordered this option thinking the lights would be blacked out/dark as in the rendering. Don’t like the white transparant look on GT Silver, in that case I prefer standard red lightbar. Will see if change is still possible since delivery is planned half march...
My build lock date of 2/3/20 is rapidly approaching. I don't have clear tail lights on my build at the moment but now I'm starting to lean towards adding them. Thoughts?
I think red works as well. The stock rear lights are mostly blacked out with an interesting red element.
Picked up my C2 this morning, really happy with the look of the clear taillight against white.

Looks stunning. What made you go with the stock exhaust with black vs the sports exhaust? Btw I think they looks really good. I went with the sports exhaust not knowing how the stock quad pipes would look.
