Default She arrived early

Tracking my order from late Oct, my C2 was scheduled to arrive at the San Diego port on 2/7 and to the dealer on 2/21. The update my SA provided in mid Dec showed a delay in production by a month with a new port arrival of date of 3/13 and 3/27 to the dealer. Since it’s been a little over a month and a few of the key dates had passed from the screenshot, I emailed my SA last night to check in. Well much to my delight, my car is at the port and should arrive to the dealer in the next week or two.

Needless to say, I’m excited and slightly nervous! My first Porsche was a new 958 Cayenne in 2011 and then in mid 2014, I moved into my Macan Turbo and it has been the perfect dd for my lifestyle ever since. After spending a day at the PEC with 991.2 Turbo S, having both a Cayman S and GTS as extended loaners, and then most recently renting a base 991.2 for a day, I decided it was time. After almost pulling the trigger on a pre-owned 991.2, my wife convinced me to wait until I was able to see the 992 live and shortly thereafter, in went my order.

My extended warranty is up at the end of year, so I plan to move on from my beloved Macan Turbo soon. I’m hopeful I can make the transition to the C2 as my dd. If not, I guess I’ll have to figure something out!

I’ll share pictures after ppf, quartz, and tint. Thanks to this community for helping make the wait more bearable.

Congrats and enjoy! Smart woman, your wife! Mine gave me similar advice and I'm glad I waited. I'm moving from a Macan GTS to a 992 C4S manual as a DD and I'm sure it will be an easy transition.

Sharing some pics while my car was at Glistening Perfection for tint, ppf, and quartz. Thanks to @MoeMistry and his crew for the great work. It rained just enough to be annoying shortly after that last photo... ha.

Thanks! Huber Optic 30% all around, 60% on the windshield, and 20% on the sunroof.

Looks like there are a few of us (Macan GTS -> 992 C2S manual for me - and specifically because I can't stand the automatic in the Macan) Hopefully it will work out in terms of practicality...

Any of you have kids? We have two little ones: 2 yrs and 5 months.

No kids here. In terms of practicality, I’m still trying to figure out how to get my golf clubs in the 992...
