@Ross Correia Downtown Porsche is owned by DFC Auto Group Inc., which also owns Uptown Audio. The Dealer Principal is Helen Ching-Kircher. https://www.helenchingkircher.com/about-helen/
I wouldn't waste time with people at the dealership level who have demonstrated an inability or an unwillingness to shoot straight: go directly to the person that can resolve this. Maybe send her a link to this discussion: she might appreciate hearing what is being said about her business in one of North America's largest Porsche forums.

If you can afford it bring the car to the city and self park. Monthly self park at port authority is about 600 a month and there’s a ramp that takes you straight out into Lincoln tunnel.

Took all of 30 seconds to Google a few Canadian cases that stated car deposits are not refundable when stated as such in the contract. I'm not an attorney but fairly certain the contract you signed will state the conditions you agreed to as well as remedies for default.

Any progress Ross? Did you get your deposit back?

Generations from now, they will tell stories about Ross, and sing songs about his life.

I believe the fair thing is for the dealership to return the deposit after they sell the car, less any interest costs they incur for holding the car and any additional discount they have to include for the new buyer beyond what Ross had agreed to.
I’m not impressed at all the dealership threatened to sue him, that’s a severe response to the situation, and likely a game they are playing to scare him.

Not sure if Canadian laws are different but in the US you aren't OBLIGATED to take the car. That's ridiculous. You put a deposit down to secure it but you can always walk. Even if you lose the deposit, heck in NYC just don't get a car for a while.

Isn't this a C4S ?? I mean they're very nice and great cars but this isn't a freakin' Carrera GT or 918 Spyder here with a giant sticker price. They will be able to sell it. I don't get why they're being such *******.

My bet is that Ross is currently being detained in the underground prison at Porsche Downtown Toronto, where they torture customers until they sign the delivery papers.

I'm wondering if they were unhappy with him posting here and asked him to stop. I do think they have a right to solve the problem privately, it's not as though Ross was entirely without blame in the situation. While I understand why he posted here, I think more discretion of which dealership it is would have been advisable.
