Sorry OP, not trying to turn this into a Radar thread, but I have the R3 (bought when it first came out and no R7) and have been thinking about picking up the R7....it's just much larger. Coming from a V1, I really miss the arrows!!

I like both detectors. However, the V1 seems to be just a touch better with range, especially in the 360! detection. Arrows on both. Bluetooth app on V1 is nice for custom profiles. I have a Blendmount, which is amazing for Porsche. Mirror tap is in my bag ready for the Porsche, but would like clear instructions on how and where to connect.
