Default Cup Holder Cover

I’ve ordered a 992, i’m on that painful process of waiting...

meanwhile, as I don’t plan to use the cup holder, (yes, no drinking or eating in my cars), I wonder if any of you know about a nice cover fo the cup holder.

I use to have a couple of them on my previous Jaguar, and it was lovely.

I’m unable to find anything nice to cover that hole in the Center pedestal...

Anyone, please?

Thanks!

I think you can just remove the cup holder plastic piece and be left with a little storage cubby.

I also don’t understand people who eat or drink in their cars...

Exactly!!!

I’m just giving it a shot of not having that cubby hole open...

Early adoption growing pains. I'm sure something will turn up.. maybe just too soon at this point. I myself have looked online for a cupholder cover as well..

Eating, sure, but you don't take a cup of coffee in your car?! I have the shakes just from thinking about that..

Your 992 comes with a little plastic storage area that can be snapped in place of the cupholder. I would show you a picture of it if I wasn't thousands of miles from my car.

For me personally, the cupholder is handy to hold a plastic water bottle. I would never bring dairy into the car, but hydration is a good thing.

There's a different "insert" that replaces the cup holder with a storage bin. As detansinn noted above, apparently it comes with the car but can also be ordered separately. https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU992CCBIN.html

Yes and I believe you get both upon delivery of your car. The storage bin AND the cup holder that you throw away immediately lol

Your new 992 should come with one of these. Mine did.

I actually like the cupholder. It's over engineered and durable looking. Perfect for a pair of glasses or small water bottle.

I enjoy driving, and I only get about 30 min drive time per day (short commute) so I have no desire to multitask during those rare, enjoyable moments. I have 10+ hours of meetings every day where I can drink as much coffee and distract myself as much as I want...

Besides, my other cars don't even have cupholders (the Aston technically does, kind of, but they're very much an afterthought and would be very unstable should one actually try to use them).

I don't drive much at all during the week, but when I do, it's hours in the car. In 30 minutes, you don't need a cupholder. When you're driving for several hours, it's a very nice thing to have.
