992 GENTIAN BLUE PICTURES!
#107
Congrats on the allocation. I have had my Gentian Blue 992 since June. I have been driving it all fall and into the Winter (since we have yet to see any real snow in Boston). I have been thrilled with the paint and the lack of Swirls on the Gentian color so far.
I will say that I do take extra care when washing. Hand wash only, micro fiber towels and air compressor/leaf blower to dry. I have a full front Xpel and rocker panels and wheel arch PPF done on the car and ceramic coating, which all help as well and would highly recommend both.
My previous cars were GT Silver 991 and a Jet Black Metallic Cayman S... The black car was miserable with swirls and I had that corrected 2 times. The GT Silver was wonderful and never required any correction and always looked clean. The Gentian falls somewhere in the middle, but I would say it is much closer to the GT silver in terms of how it has held up so far and no where near as painful as the black.
If you are in love with Gentian, go with it... the paint is far superior to the flat colors and i think this paint is harder than P car paint has been in the past. Get Xpel on problem areas and a ceramic coating to help you with making washes easier.
I get more compliments on the color alone... people love the car, but they LOVE the color. If you do go with a silver or something, id suggest a fun interior color or seatbelts or something... Enjoy!

Looking for some opinions - have a 23 allocation and after much debate I’m going with GB exterior.
currently I have the satin black spyder wheels specced. It looks good to my eye on the configurator but I’ve only found pics of the unpainted Spyders on GB 992s.
Any thoughts from the experts on if the satin black will be too dark against an already dark ish color? Should I keep the spyders unpainted?

GB is an amazing color and the 992 is so damn good looking you would be hard pressed to find a wheel / color combo that would detract from its looks. If you like the black gloss/satin wheels, go for it!

Thanks for posting all the pics, this thread helped me pick my color. Love how it looks in different lighting conditions. I have a Gentian Blue GTS sitting in Enden waiting for a ride to the states. Looking forward to adding to this thread when i finally get it.
