Certainly not a perfect system, but ok for me, even considering the price of the car...
How does the comfort access work on the trunk?

Oh, good question: You have to slide with your hand close to the Porsche logo on the hood.
I have not found the right spot yet, so this is the only occasion where I have to touch the key quite often

My SA went to Taycan training and the guys there confirmed that early build 992’s you have to touch the door handles but the later build ones, the door handles can present themselves like what Pregg shows on the video.

The Porsche rep didn’t give a VIN for when the builds would start having this capability so my dealership is just going to see if they can get it to work next week.

My 992 which was built in November does only present the door handles when I either press the key or touch the handle.
I have never seen the behavior shown in the video on my car.

There is a software upgrade available. My car is at the dealership and they are going to see if it works today. Will let you know what they say.

Hopefully it works. Having a Nov built which does not pop out when coming close, I doubt it will work...

My 992 is April 2019 build and the door handle action is not predictable. Occasionally they pop out without touch, sometimes it takes touch to work but
there are also times that I need to touch and pull and fumble around. That is driver side. The passenger side responds much better.

Can you turn the Comfort Access function off in the PCM?
