Default Weird hesitation from a stop

Hey guys,

I finally got to road test the 992 C2S here in Toronto.

When driving, I was a little disappointed and I was wondering if any of you guys have this issue with your cars. Coming from a stop the car hesitates going into first, the car would literally roll backwards before it has a little jolt jumping into gear to get it moving.

I drove the 991.2 C2S and it did not have this issue. Do any of the people who have taken delivery have this issue with their car or is this normal? This is very concerning for me since I used to own a 2012 Audi S4 DSG and it did the same thing and I sold it within 6 months. I hope this isn't normal because it would really ruin the driving experience for me.

That sounds like a transmission issue. The only cars with automatics that I ever drive are loaners, but since new manual transmission cars have “hill holders” that prevent any roll back when starting on an incline, I can’t imagine any automatic transmission purposely letting you roll back before engaging. I think you need to take it to your dealer.

It is already at the dealer since it is the dealer's car.

OP: did you mention it to the dealer?

No, have had mine for a month and have never noticed any hesitation from a total stop. Matter of fact, I just learned you can do a 'stomp'/push-down once fully stopped on the brake pedal, then take your foot off the brake and the car stays braked. Great for fast starts as you can then move your right foot to the accelerator...car takes off like a rocket. I know this isn't a brand new feature, I'm just slow. But yeah, no hesitation at all.
