to go back PCM home screen, need to click the icons over the left lower corner, then click the Porsche icon.
I am not the one who offer the service. you can simply PM the sponsor for the price. there are different options.
I was little bit skeptical at first. it seems nobody else use his service from Rennlist here. From what I read, other service use different methods, including purchase of some usb device, use of vehicle VIN number or PIWIS device etc, but his method is the most simple. I did prepare my computer for with a spare window OS backup hard drive with nothing else on it, for the teamviewer use.

To answer this question, I think I can make this very clear, actually there isn't a secret about this full screen / whole screen solution at all, pretty straight forward, and now I can try to answer all your concerns here:

1. the difference between full screen and whole screen display:
Normally you will see others providing similar service that has full screen enabled on PCM5 equipped cars

The normal full screen resolution is 1776x650
As this resolution is not common, so that some app will not showing contents properly, here is an example of using Huawei hi-car in full screen CarPlay mode

The top picture shows that original CarPlay screen, that one 2/3 of the screen display which only 800x600 resolution, because of that, manufacture has made the icon on the CarPlay screen very small to cope with the smaller Display area, otherwise it will looks very awful with regular CarPlay icon size in such small display area. if you have seen PCM4.1 in Panamera 2017-2020 model you will see how bad it works

That is the whole reason why on PCM5 manufacture made the icon smaller in the same size display area to make it look better

However, when you activate the normal full screen, it actually just stretch the display horizontally to one side (depending on RHD or LHD), but the icon size still stay the same as before, which make the resolution became non standard as well, so that some apps won't cope with that resolution well.

If you look at the comparison picture above you will find that both standard and full screen have the same icon size but the one in PCM4.1 shows the correct normal icon size that suppose to show up in full screen mode.

So the normal full screen is only stretching it to have some more display area rather than giving you better user experience

If any of you have seen PCM6, you will notice that CarPlay icon size need to be in regular size when in full screen mode, the below picture is in PCM6

With whole screen resolution on PCM5, you the icon size will return back to normal size it suppose to be just like PCM6

So you can see that after optimised the resolution to 1920x720 the CarPlay icon size is back to normal and just looks like identical to PCM6 look, and that is what you really want to get, not just stretching the image horizontally to one side.

Here is another example of the problem which will occur in this normal full screen mode:

You can see that bottom line of the display will be cut in half and won't properly displayed in this non standard resolution

However, this all can be fixed by using whole screen resolution 1920x 720

And I have got some one approached me showed that even worse in Android Auto mode, Someone else enabled android auto for him as full screen mode which is completely unusable:

You can see that picture is squashed and you can't even put and destination in by using the touch screen

But with 1920x720 whole screen display you will have full HD resolution on Android auto with native split screen for it like this:

Now, you may already know what you should get for your PCM5, but still one concern you have is for the soft button on screen to allow you get back to the main menu.

Originally, there are soft buttons on the side you can touch to get into normal car menu, now it is not showing anymore, so you may think there is a hassle to go back to any other screen.
Here is how you can do it:

1. By using the Porsche icon on CarPlay main menu

2. For Macan and Cayenne or Panamera you can press any physical button below the screen to access any other screen just lick pressing on the soft key in screen, so it won't be any problem at all

But 992, there isn't any shortcut physical buttons, but you it has 2 physical buttons that you can assign any feature to it

You can use one of them to assign a shortcut to main menu so that you don't need to press the Porsche icon in CarPlay screen, in order to get into normal car screen.
After few tries and one of the forum member has pointed out that button with some function assigned to it would not work in CarPlay mode , it turn out to be only PDC and camera view can take higher priority as factory called "Early App" . will try to test to see what else can also take higher priority than CarPlay.

For the 3rd question, I can see other guys worries about melware being installed in PCM, I have no idea why he thinks that way, it is just purely UI optimisation which has nothing to do with actual application change, so hope that reply will give him more confidence as well.
And there isn't any point to develop a melware for such system, selling the service is about providing better user experience not about damaging it.

The full development, takes really long time for this, as you can see, it is not about just getting it to work, there are a lot of more for getting everything right and perfect so that people who bought the service are 100% satisfied

To make people feel confident about our service, the number of cars we did for this whole screen will speak by itself, we have done 500+ cars with PCM5 (majority are Macan but all 992, 971 and Cayenne share the same PCM5 system ) in last 6 months and have 100% satisfaction.

When CarPlay is active the ‘diamond’ buttons don’t work. Only the soft home button works.

as far as I know you can assign any feature to the diamond button, such as pdc, radio… etc. once it is assigned, it should work no matter which screen you are in .

No, when CarPlay is active the diamond buttons are disabled. It’s the same with the reversing or surround cameras. Trust me on this, I’ve owned a 992 for 18 months.

Yes you are right, but the camera view on that will take priority, you can only assign it to enable pdc or camera, have to do more testing to see what other functions take higher priority than CarPlay
