Default 992 GT3 Release Date?

Does anyone have any ideas on when the 992 GT3 will be debuted? I'm super duper curious about what Porsche has in store for us.

Oh wow! Longer than I thought, but I guess based on previous releases that makes sense.

That's 5 months away...were you expecting it sooner?

I think they still have regular models (Turbo and possibly Targa variants) that they need to introduce before they get into the GT cars.

For some reason I thought it would be by the end of this year, but, you are right, 5 months isn't too far away.

I’d say we’ll see Targa and Turbo next spring. GT3 and T likely in Fall of 2020 with a spring 2021 release.

My gut feeling is that we'll see at least one of them (probably the Turbo and Turbo S) at LA Auto Show this year. They would probably want to bring some brand new car to LA given that Porsche always had a fairly large presence there (992 launch was at LA).

I suspect that the T is going to land later in the model lifecycle to sell cars -- just like it was done with 991.2.

Looking at 991 history
the 991 base model was presented in Sept 2011
the 991.1 GT3 in March 2013

the base 992 in Nov2018

thus the 992 GT3 should be presented in
March 2021

but all this 992 mule GT3 around since many months make hope for March 2020

otherwise what the hell are they testing for so long time if the 992 GT3 is just the RS 991.3 PF 520/530 HP engine ??

I think the math is a bit off here. If same timeframe as 991 launch to GT3 release (18 months), that'd put the next release at April 2020 . . .

I had the same thought. Porsche loves to debut new stuff at LA (coming up quick). Unfortunately for us 911 fans my guess is this year is heavily focused on a certain electrified brother.

Which btw makes me sad because the Targa is what has my heart
