Stopped by my local dealership this morning to make final decisions on specific 992 options and I had the opportunity to compare the Bose and Burmester sound systems...

Honestly, I was a bit worried the Burmester was going to be so superior I would have to reach deeper in my pocket to tick the box, but I was actually not that impressed for such a considerable increase in $. With some assistance by the sales rep we adjusted both systems's tones and Bass to be of equal measure. Using my iPhone and Spotify, I played the same two songs on both systems. The Burmester was clearly far superior with highs and mids , but the Bass seemed under powered compared to the Bose. I guess I'm the kind of guy that really likes to "feel" my music and it seems the Bose hits Bass lines much harder. The Bose high and mids may not have been as good as the Burmester, but totally adequate.

Has anyone else been able to compare? Did you find the results similar?
