If Chevy makes the new C8 Z0? Look like this C8R...they will have a huge win. Just need to know track durability for DE at Sebring with the street car.

Awesome looking car. The C8 is going to be a home run for sure. It’s amazing the price difference vs. value.

Sure is but every time I get ready to order one I remember the feels of the construction and materials in my ZL1. Then looking at the intro of the convertible with the dufus duos opening the top .... I don't know ... a corvette is a corvette, regardless of performance and engine location. There is more to a car than performance and price. When it finally comes out if it has that special sauce that makes you feel like it's the one then it will be a winner. I think they need a special engine in the C8 (can you say flat plane crank, which is what the C8R sounds like) and maybe a shift by wire manual transmission (which they have already patented a few years ago) to hit it out of the park and when they do car will cost >=$120k which is what zr1 costs today and so value proposition vs. springing for a used F-car or other exotic may not be there.

All in all great to have C8 but maybe best to keep it lightly optioned... can't wait to have press embargo lifted and cars in showroom to look at, touch, and test drive

that's your fpc right there... love the starter motor sound and this engine hopefully will trickle into production...

I expect Corvette Racing will struggle initially with the setup parameters and window for the car. They have 20 years of experience refining the front engine platform, but the C8.R is entirely new. Porsche struggled with the latest RSR when it was new, and they still struggle with the tires in some scenarios - rain (beginning of Sebring 2019), Laguna Seca (every year).
