Here's my session at Watkins Glen. I apologize for the lack of telemetry, as I wasn't using the Porsche Track Precision app yet. I'll have that running next weekend though.
Tires were OEM P0s. Top speed pretty consistent at about 155MPH into the bus-stop if I had clear air. Note, this was the first session of the day for the run group, so no passing allowed on the first lap.

good job! such a fun track with elevations, so much better than the overgrown autoX that we have

Thanks. The Glen was a bucket-list track for me. The last "I shall do before I die" track on that list is Laguna Seca, and, it's a lonnnnng ways from me.
Looked like fun John McLane, nice driving! As an FYI to those considering brake upgrades, who aren't quite ready for a complete replacement of the OEM system...
We just lowered the price of our 2-piece AP Racing J Hook discs that work with the OEM calipers! We've been implementing our 350mm AP Racing 2-piece J Hook Discs on more and more Porsche chassis and our user base continues to grow. As such, we're now starting to realize some economies of scale that we can pass along as savings to our customers. We're pleased to announce that we are reducing the price of our front and rear 350mm J Hook Porsche discs for the foreseeable future. The affected disc pairs below that used to carry a retail price of $1,498 will now be $1,298 per pair. While our J Hook discs have always been considered the benchmark in miles per dollar, they now represent an even greater value!
We also have Ferodo pads, AP Racing fluid, Spiegler Stainless Steel Brake Lines, and of course the complete AP Racing Road (which John McLane is using) and Competition Brake Kits.

Got Track Precision all hooked up. Works well. Here's a lap of me torturing some tires (sound on) at Putnam Park Road Course.
Keith, thanks for sharing. I have a 991.2 and have a 992 on order. Heading to VIR in a couple weeks and wondering how your setup works. Using phone just with the porsche track app? I need a wifi hotspot on the 991.2 it appears, but wondering how the video/app info combo is used. Need to plug into ECU/OBD?

For the track rats out there, anyone feeling understeer with C4S? I'm not sure if it's related to Cup2s with 315 On the rears with OEM size at the fronts or if it's inherently present on 4WD. I recall some understeer at the PSDS driving the TTS, but it was more slipping out of the apex than early sliding with the front. It gets to the point that I need to tap the brakes where I would normally lift in my old car (991.2 C2 cab). Quite frustrating.
Camber is maxed out for the OEM suspension. I could try a similar front track as the 992 TTS, but I don't think the tires would fit the spyder wheels. TPC V3 box is not out yet for this platform. Decrease tire pressure is tricky as the window between ideal and damaging is narrow (very unfriendly curbs around here).
Will these fit the 19/20 inch 992 Carrera base wheels?
Thank you.
Tom,
The 2-piece discs work with the OEM calipers. Our front and rear discs are the exact same size as the OEM 992 discs at 350mm diameter both front and rear. These discs don't have any impact on wheel fitment.
We also have two types of complete brake kits, our Road Kits and Competition Kits, which both use discs larger than stock. You can read about the differences between the two here: https://www.essexparts.com/big-brake...-right-for-you
You can see both types of kits for the 992 here: https://www.essexparts.com/my-vehicl...0S/Iron%20disc
The OP in this thread, John McLane, equipped his car with our Road Kit, which features 380mm discs front and rear. That kit clears the OEM wheels on his car without a spacer or any issues, as seen in the pic below.
Our Competition Kit uses slightly smaller discs (for weight savings), and will also clear the OEM wheels without a spacer. The front wheel template for our Competition Kit can be found here: https://www.essexparts.com/storage/w...l_template.pdf
Our Competition Kits tend to have outstanding wheel fitment, as the calipers have a much tighter footprint than the larger OEM calipers.
For visual reference, below you can see a Competition Kit installed on a 991.2 Carrera T with OEM wheels.
To give you an idea of scale on our Competition Radi-CAL vs. the OEM calipers, below is a pic of a 991 GT3 front caliper sitting next to the CP9661 six piston Radi-CAL we use in our front Competition Kit. You can see how much taller the OEM caliper is.

No need to plug into ECU/ODBII. Apparently, when you connect to the wifi hotspot, the telemetry data is thrown over-the-air to the wifi to the track precision app. So, this video is literally made with just the phone and the PTP app.

thank you so much Keith for the incredibly informative thorough and prompt answer.
Tom
one more question though, the cars in the pictures have 20 inch wheels.
I want to verify that the front rotor will fit and 19 inch we will, i.e. on a 992 base.
I would be interested in the road kit. How much more if an I would be interested in the road kit
How much more if any weight would there be in pounds per corner for the caliper/rotor combination for the road kit?
