I have modified the front control arm with the one of a 997 Cup. Now have -3 camber front and rear.
i also swapped the 350mm stock disc with the 380 GT4 one

this was my lap at Vallelunga Racing Circuit in Rome:

There are a few places that can make lift kits that will fit the JRZ front struts. I think the KW one can work with the right adapters.

I'm looking forward to return to the tracks this season. Brakes need some work, from SRF and pads to full caliper/rotors.
I wish we had a DSC box available, but I don't see that happening before the GT3 comes out.
I won't be fiddling much with the suspension, besides camber, as it's my DD

Anyone hitting the tracks? So far PCA cancelled all events up to late May in the Chicago region.
PSDS also cancelled most of it up to mid May.
At least I haven't messed with my brakes yet. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole season goes to waste at the snowy states.

Hey John, Laps Track Days is running Road America May 16 & 17. It’s been pushed around some but latest from them is we are a go.

Bummer PCA Chicago pulled their Memorial Day weekend HPDE.

I have to work that weekend so I could go the following weekend for RADE, so it blows.

It's weird that they pulled out and immediately Shelby club got it. pCA charged $600 for 3 days, the other one 500/day. Besides the price, I think it's a bit too early. The track itself is not an issue, but hotels, restaurants, gas stations are quite intense on those track days.

And they won't go away with the dumb open window rule, even in the times we live.

I was quite excited to take the 992 to a power track. Maybe later in the year. PSDS is using the 992 and goes back to run courses in mid May, but no GT cars in the menu. I don't see how to distance there and no direct flights to Birmingham from Chicago.

Maybe I'll make a pout-porri out of tire pearls and go do sim racing...

I hit the track twice with my 992 Base model for fun (it's my daily driver, so just a few laps). I was surprised how fast it was. Not as quick as my 991.2 3RS, but it turned the same lap times as my 997.2 3RS which was suprising considering it has less horsepower. The turbo torque definitely helps out of the corners.

Shelby sent me the email in the morning. PCA withdrew that evening. Goofy sequence.

I’m only doing Saturday. Really not too interested in hanging overnight.

Went back to Blackhawk farms with improved brakes. Not my favorite track at all. Hard on the brakes, tires and driver. Very, very greasy day. Had to slow down or brake on areas that I would normally just lift, but I guess that's part.
One short lap, not my best. Shalom' not stirred. I'll add one with the TrackPrecision app and one from the dashcam.

BRF Harry's lap

Better lap, got get a better phone holder although TrackPrecision is inherently limited in the shaking dept.

TrackPrecision (Phone not only shaking, but tilting. Covered most of the track). Using carplay to start it is cute but failed to record vide for half the day. Dashcam is still more reliable, but a pain to overlay.

Dash cam, less shaky

Dash Cam

Your an Apex Hitting Machine John.

Agree with your BlackHawk comments. Great to be on a track but I passed on Sunday myself. One day of BlackHawk is enough for me.

Same here. I'm all sore. Our of shape. Only track action this year, but it's a small price considering all else. Managed to trim some of my prior time, new brakes made a huge difference. Waiting tor a V box...

It's amazing how an area like Chicago is so poor on car events. I'd blame a bit on snow, but there's no real car culture around. BRF is pretty nasty with all those trees to hit.

Amazing how much better the video is from the dash cam. That said, the other two are totally usable and it’s nice having the other telemetry available.

And as somebody else said, nice hitting of the apexes :-)

This is the first time I actually managed TrackPrecision to work. Digging around the info you can overlay, it's actually more informative than the almighty Harry's. You can tell wheel slip (front and/or rear), how much the ESC is working, tire temps, power/torque, besides the usual gas/brake combo(see the pics). It has a crucial limitation with the need for WiFi (eg PCM 4 and above) and the subpar stabilization, the ladder could be helped with a better phone support.

Next time I'll try using a GoPro. I could overlap the data with the dashcam videos, but synchronization is probably tedious.
