New 992.2 GT3, had to give it the things all newborns need:
Full 3-step interior leather cleaning, softening, protecting with the Leather Solutions kit recommended by our resident expert from the leather industry, @drcollie
This is my 3rd chalk interior and I’ve never had a problem with dye transfer from my jeans, but maybe using this stuff is why.
Next up: translucent PORSCHE letters from Suncoast, because these just seem to match the car so well and I like a visible Porsche badge.
I packed the side markers in my carry on for the flight, and changed them in the hotel parking lot on the road trip home after PECLA pickup- because I did not want you all to laugh at me when I posted my road trip pix. (Suncoast dark trim OEM)
And lastly, I bought the battery a huge batch of fresh electrons. I’m shocked but not shocked that after 950 miles of driving in it’s first 5 days, this medium-sized 50AH Li-Ion still took FOUR HOURS of charging to top up completely. The alternator is nothing but a maintainer these days with the draw the PCM uses. @Antigravity SC-10 charger/maintainer- it’s awesome.

So I am on their website ordering a kit: dumb question - is the Porsche leather "protected" or 'unprotected"?
I like the look of the translucent letters. Do you have a part number?

Mine is the “clear”, though it has a white backing so I’d call it “translucent” not “transparent”. Put them on my Ice Grey T months ago and as long as you clean the original emblem with alcohol first, carefully align and press hard, they go right over the original letters and I’ve had no adhesion problems. I put “anthracite” colored ones on my GTS too.

Had to look up my receipt from Leather Solutions, and I ordered the “Protected”. Ordered that after one of @drcollie ’s excellent lessons on leather, so pretty sure I got the right one at the time.

My single issue purchase of 000 magazine issue 33 (Q1 CY25) arrived which features the 922.2 Carrera T. It just so happen to be a Lugano Blue Cab like mine that the author drove and wrote about in 37 pages including a mini-article comparing the gearboxes of the .2 T, .2 GT3 and 718 GTS 4.0. This the first time seeing the magazine in person, it's loaded with beautiful photography and like 3 pages of adds of 256 total. I think it identifies more as a book than a periodical and actually makes me consider a subscription. Without trying to violate copyright laws, here is a pic of the first page of the article and the cover of this edition.
Did you find the pry tool worked better than dental floss or fishing line to remove the old letters?
Why remove the black letters? Just clean them with alcohol first and apply them on top. Press hard. Work in reasonably warm conditions. I’ve done it on 3 cars with no adhesion issues.
