  2. While the marker is slid to the right, push the right side of the marker away from you (towards the car) - the left side of the marker should be coming out rather easily at this point (you may have to grab it with your other hand and pull a little)
  3. Once the left side of the marker is free, the whole thing should come out rather easily.
  4. Using a flathead screwdriver, move up the clip securing the wire from the car to the marker.
To insert marker:
  1. Attach wire & clip
  2. Put the right side of the marker in first
  3. Slide marker to the right (as in step 1 from removing it)
  4. Push left side in. If you're sliding the marker to the right, it shouldn't require too much force.
I found that attaching a long piece of duct tape to the face of the marker (cut it down to stay away from the paint) and using it like a handle helps to initially push it to the right against the spring so you can then push in the right end so the left end pops out and you can grab it. The marker is in pretty snugly since it comes with several pieces of felt attached to take up any gaps.

@iliveoncaffiene your directions were spot on. Took me about a two minutes to replace them both. Thank you! Looks so much better than the US-spec amber lenses.

Before and After. Just took delivery today and it was the first thing I did when I brought the car home.

These look really good!

While I can see how the clear markers homogenize and 'clean up' the lighting arrangement very inexpensively and quickly, my only concern is the non-reflective quality of the clear markers. Specifically in an evening parking lot scenario where a 992 is parked (and vulnerable to those who don't park very well.) I always back into parking spots, so the passive amber reflective DOT-required lens becomes an effective line of defense at night when someone chooses the spot next to my car. The population is getting older, and as night vision deteriorates with age - I presume depth perception fades along with it!

Thanks to the instructions in this post, I can confirm this is a under 5 minute task. I swapped mine out as soon as I got home from the dealer. (Notably more difficult on the Macan)

Question - did anyone else notice that the passenger side light had significantly less slack in the wire/harness versus the drivers side? Needed to use a small tool to help detach the harness on the passenger side as I could not get the harness far enough out to use my fingers.

Reviving an old thread here… but yday after a drive and some shopping, we arrived back at the car and the right clear side marker was popped out of the housing. Apparently, the clip that holds the side marker in had broken and it was just dangling. We had to use clear tape to temporarily hold it in place until we got home, so for now, I have one clear and one amber marker in the car. Pretty strange!

I thought about it a lot and ultimately decided to smoke mine instead, along with the headlights and front LED's. Not the best picture, but you get an idea.
