Totally would have optioned full bordeaux on my Chalk due to arrive in June. Bonus that it's slightly less expensive than the black/red I ultimately chose. Full bordeaux is much more dramatic and holds an impression, but the GF literally begged me not to get full red. She will spend a considerable amount of time in the passenger seat and she doesn't think she has it in her to stare at a full red (with chalk stitching) dashboard.
But also, I wasn't fond of the red steering wheel with the full red interior. I would have optioned a race-tex steering wheel with it, something I also had concerns about regarding wear & tear.
Regardless, I think the full red is the best interior option available and would have done it in a heartbeat if the gf didn't rain on my parade.
With the top down (red top), the full Bordeaux red with agate gray is smoking. Turns heads and gets more thumbs up as I drive by than any other car Ive ever had. I went back and forth on the half black/red combo and went full and Im glad I did. Its a subtle red, not bright so its soft on the eyes. The pictures dont do it justice - theyre always brighter red than in person.
On the new configurator, the driving wheel becomes black for full Bordeaux and it looks horrible. If thats a change for 22, will it affect any 21 orders? Im so concerned.
Just bought this today. Dealers last new 911 until August cause they cant get cars.
Its our first 992 and third 911 (991RS and 993). Will probably pick it up Monday. Looking forward to seeing how it feels.
The color combo and wheels were initially what made us want it. Also preferred base car due to more compliant suspension.
Our first Mercedes was SL55AMG Silver over Berry (very similar to Bordeaux).
Then we had a Lambo LP560-4 which was Ballon White (3 state pearl effect) over Rosso Corsa leather (lipstick red).
LOVED BOTH! Looking forward to enjoying a red interior again!

I’m thinking of a Chalk exterior with a Black/Bordeaux Red interior AND Chalk deviated stitching. Has anyone speced an interior like this? I’d like to see pictures before I commit. Would greatly appreciate it!
Black/Bordeaux comes with red stitching on the dash and non deviated on the seats. Full Bordeaux can have matching or chalk deviated stitching. Hope this helps

Thanks Toybox. Yes, Im aware. My thinking is to select Black/Bordeaux Red interior and then add Chalk deviated stitching on top. But Id like to see some pictures first.

With the Black/Bordeaux, the red contrast stitching on the dash/doors is really nice. I am not sure I would change that to Chalk.
Are you positive the black/Bordeaux comes with red stitching on the dash as standard? Is red stitching visible on configuration? I have 9 days until lock on my Black/Bordeaux gets silver cab and it would be great if this is standard. Thanks

Yes I am positive. Just the door "sills" and the dash. Not the full deviated stitch package. See (poor) picture of my interior. No, it does not show in the configurator.
