The air conditioning works well through the standard vents and when adjusting the flow through the upper dash vents works even better. I had my doubts but am very pleasantly surprised.

2 years in, the A/C has been on auto pretty much the whole time. No issues in 100+ days, don’t need to use the ventilated seats unless I’m hot getting into the car.

Did you check in the infotainment climate control screen as well? The upper vents, on either side of the sport chrono dial, can only be opened/closed using the PCM screen. You can also adjust the auto mode strength here.

992 GTS owner, central California. It was in the 100's here this past weekend and the AC worked like a champ. No complaints whatsoever. Like other's have mentioned, the ventilated seats are great too. I would say better than MB and BMW.

I can't figure out how to reactivate Sync. If I press the Max AC button, sync is activated, then I immediately press Auto and sync remains. But isn't there a direct way of reactivating sync? In my Spyder I just hold the Auto button for a second to activate sync, but that doesn't work in the 992. I guess the philosophy of the 992 PCM is, "The more steps the better"??? Or am I missing something? I scanned the OM to no avail.

This is also done in PCM in the Climate Control menu. iirc there's a sync button along the bottom with the climate menu on screen.

Thanks. So I guess I am right about them purposely complicating simple functions. I'll stick with my method of pressing AC Max and then Auto.

I’m from Singapore and temperatures here range between 28-34C. I’ve had my C2S for around half a year and done 4500km. The air conditioning has been cool enough to leave the setting at level 1 or 2 of the blower speed but there have been a few occasions that the air compressor did not kick in which caused the the air conditioning to blow out warm air. To solve the problem,i would have to pull over and restart the car. Have not brought the car to the dealer/workshop but will probably bring it up during my next service.

Anyone else experience this?

Not the same thing but on the subject of AC woes I just got home from a drive and in the last 6 minutes of the hourish drive I started hearing a high pitched air whizzing sound from the A/C, and the air stopped blowing cold. Turned the compressor off and back on, the sound goes away but comes back when the compressor turns on. From outside the car after getting out (and turning off the car) I hear a similar noise, like a punctured air hose is spitting out air somewhere it shouldn't be.

Fingers crossed that either it magically fixes itself next time I get in the car or that my dealer has a service opening this week, cause it's another hot one here
