Default Red Interior (Video)

This is the first video I've seen of the red interior of the 992. I have one on order with the same full red interior and Gentian Blue exterior.

What's your opinion of the interior and please post here if you come across other videos.

I actually like it. On gentian I probably wouldn't spec it but I think it looks good.

Its a great shade of red and looks great with the stitching matching the exterior of the car in the video. I am not sure how it would work with the blue you specified.

I've always been partial to full ( as opposed to partial) red interiors. The deviated stitching looks great also, IMO.

I've seen some stunning red interiors with some unusual exterior color combinations. My favorite was a metallic purple/violet exterior with a red interior. Absolutely loved it. No doubt it won't win a popularity contest with the dominant black/gray/silver/white crowd but then again I have a yellow Porsche and a green Porsche. ( and if I can stomach the cost of PTS, my next one will be purple) As with most things in life, ignore the internet and do what works for you.

My current car is a maroon exterior with a white interior. I've been wanting a car with a dark blue exterior for a while and that's why I loved the Gentian Blue. As for the red interior, when I saw it on a 991 in the dealership, I really loved it and thought it works with the blue.

Here is a couple of pics from the configurator.

I thought long and hard about red or black/red with my agate grey spec. I ultimately opted for ceramic brakes with standard yellow calipers and call me crazy, but yellow calipers with red interior didn’t do it for me. I really like your choice with blue, however, so don’t let anyone talk you out of it!

A couple of years ago, someone posted pics of his blue/red 991 on the 991 forum. He called it Superman. It looked terrific.

It’s actually pretty nice, I’m more of a black interior for life kind of person though

The red interior looks fantastic and the blue exterior looks fantastic, but combined, they don’t contrast well IMO. I’d go for a more brown interior with that blue; it’d look both classy and sporty. If adamant about red interior, I’d go with a more neutral color (black, gray, white, silver, etc). That’s my personal preference.

If if you’re happy with that color combo then that’s all that matters. You’re the one buying it so get whatever makes you happy.

I love the contrasting stitching--it looks great.

I just can't fathom how that shift lever ever made it past the design studio. To me, it looks pathetic.

Blue and red can work ...just recognize it won't be easy to sell should you ever want a change.
