Default First Pics of Red interior...

These are the first pics I've seen of a 992 with Red/Black interior. Unfortunately they don't show much but its something and at least shows they are in production now... Still waiting on actual pics of the green.

I once asked a sales guy working for Porsche Exclusive why these interior colors even exist, because I find them to be butt-ugly. He showed me a little booklet filled with all variations of red, orange, yellow etc. and told me "if there wasn't any demand for them, we wouldn't offer them". Sometimes it's as simple as that...

White with a red interior is one of my favorite color combinations. Must go back to my Corvette days😏

Slightly off topic, but in this color combination with the silver lettering....do you think the exhaust tips should be matching silver or black as seen to blend with the black valence? Thanks

seems like many differ on this point but I'd prefer the silver tips to break up the huge swath of black plastic.

Thats what I was thinking. Also, right or wrong I tend to think the pipes should match the color of the lettering.....while I know it’s personal opinion.

Yes! Definitely reminds me of Corvette. All the way to the first one. My dad drove a white on red ‘80 back then.... man that car was cool, even with that 85 mph speedometer!

that said I saw a 992 test mule in my neighborhood...white on red interior. what are the odds? Spoke to the German engineers for a bit. Nice guys. They couldn’t believe I was looking at the ugly and dirty test mule given the car had been released already. First one I saw in the flesh and it immediately convinced me to take the leap for the 992.

The test mule I saw had a full red interior. See pictures attached. Notice the exhaust. I assumed these where the base carrera exhausts.

What he should have told you is that you have no taste.

I think it was a German tradition even before the Corvette.

For instance take a look at this vintage Mercedes Gullwing and this Porsche 356 prototype from the Porsche museum.Name: photo83.jpg

They'll have a painted option, just like I got on my 991.2, which is so much nicer than the Black plastic.
