Ahhhh. Understood. I’m now on the 992 Turbo bandwagon. Looks awesome.

Funny thing is the 992 Turbo looks 99% just like the 992 C2/C4S.

Amazing what people will see depending on what they want to see.

Which is exactly why the 991 was perfection... What's your beef with the 991 anyway? Never seen a positive 991 post from you.

The 991 Turbo has a much stronger road presence compared to a base 991.. The hips are very wide and the rear tails are swallowed by the body. Looks like a super car.

My bad. Meant to say 992 (not 991).

The 992 Turbo looks muscular. The squared off rear bumper helps accentuate the wide hips. The exhaust is done right along with the rear valence... The ducktail/wing is beautiful! Too bad we don't get to see the butt! We only get side butt.. Thank you, based leaker.

The 992 needs a PSE option with four round pipes and the license plate moved up to where it is on the Turbo to go with the Aerokit front cap.
All the parts are in the inventory. Should be easy.

Found this video regarding design flaws of the 992 (subjective)... interestingly, the turbo version showed above employs some of the same design solutions that’s being proposed in the video below. Notably the location of the license plates and exhausts.

I don't like it; perhaps I will change my mind once I see it in real life....!

It’s the real Turbo. What’s interesting to me is how quickly the roll out for the Turbo came before the standard Carrera is even available in the US. Not typical for Porsche. Turbo looks really good, probably even better than photo suggests. But the standard Turbo will likely be pushing $200K and the S will be over $200K (USD) with just a few options. Doubt the interior will be substantially different.

I don't think they're rolling out the Turbo & Turbo S before the Carrera 2 & 4. Most likely the C2/C4 will be released either during Geneva Auto Salon or IAA in Frankfurt. Turbo premiere should follow in autumn or winter.

My guess for european delivery:
Carrera 2S & 4S: March 2019
Carrera 2S & 4S Convertible: June 2019
Carrera 2 & 4: Autumn 2019
Carrera Turbo & Turbo S: Spring 2020
Targa 2S & 4S: Autumn 2020
Carrera GTS: Spring 2021
Carrera T: Autumn 2021
992.2 Premiere: Spring 2022

Do you mean Targa 4 or 2S? Would be interesting if Porsche replace the low volume Targa 4 with a 2S version.

Not at all. No clam and the rear end looks much different and much better. Not perfect, the Turbo never is, but it looks way better than the regular car. Until we see the front we won't know if they were able to improve the look of that as well. Unfortunately, the interior will be basically the same...

Agree with him wholeheartedly, but it would have been nice to see him also smooth out the lower bumper area and body color match it as well. Do those three things, including a twin round center exhaust, and integrate the rear brake light better and it would look really good.

Right. What was I thinking. It's actually only 98%
