Easter Egg on the 992
Check our the rear engine lid on the new 992 - carefully.
Now count the vertical slats. They are nine on each side of the mid mounted brake light assembly. And the brake light is (2) lights.
Porsche built in the 9-9-2 (nine slats, nine slats and the two brake lights in the middle).
Or or you could interpret as 9-11, nine on the sides and the number 11 in the middle in the shape of the double brake light.
Very cool.

Well now, that's kinda cool.
In before STG makes fun of it.

Yes! It's neither 992 nor 911 though, it's actually 929 which makes perfect sense given how much of a modern updated 928 the 992 is.

We have a dedicated "HATE" thread lead by our Chief Troll. That's where it belongs.
It's all good.

Historically speaking he's right though.
Project 928 was started as Porsche saw the future moving away from pure sports cars and more towards the GT market. Since Porsche in and around 1971 really didn't foresee having the resources for two flagship cars, the 928 was born and the 911 was scheduled to be phased out.
We all know that didn't happen the way they originally planned, and the 911 spent the next few decades slowing being morphed into the GT role the 928 was supposed to hold.
Many people feel the 993 was the beginning of this transformation, most side with the radical change of the 996.
Long story short, Porsche was right on the money, just a couple decades ahead of the market.

Don't be deterred. Your user experience is just as important as the next guy's. When you see something, use the "report post" button. Our Mods can always use the assistance. It works. For example, stupid stuff has already been removed on this specific thread.
We have a dedicated "HATE" thread lead by or Chief Troll. That's where it belongs.
