Wait, but if you're insulating someone's wife, you might be doing them a favor.

996 gearing is also much better which may contribute to that impression as well.

He's reviewing the car within a limited timeframe, not making a scientific study on evolution of Porsche's RWS over the years. He said he's impressed by how good it is and that's that. That it was already good in the 991 doesn't detract from his impression of it in the 992, so what's the issue?

The issue is that many on this forum desperately wanted to hear from the reviews that Porsche took a backward step with the 992 vs the 991. When that hasn’t been the case, the same people started to discreting the 992 reviewers.

Member for 4 years and have 2 posts. Now THAT is the definition of a lurker! LOL.

I'm not sure I agree with this though. I think people always poke at journalist reviews

I like his reviews too. Lots more credibility than the typical millennial YouTuber who wears his baseball cap backwards and starts out by saying "What's up."

I think the big problem with a lot of youtubers is simple - the review is about them, the car is the prop.

A large number seem to miss one of the first points of presentation e.g. look the part - you can do this in a T shirt, shirt or even a suit - however, unshaven, crumpled and dishevelled doesn't work for me on youtube or in real life. Respect your audience.

As a general rule I like Henrys reviews, they are usually intelligent, thoughtful and contemplative. His understated demeanour is balanced by good cinematography (when he has the time) and knowledge. Also he has moved away from the "it has to be manual mantra" or purist type language to a more nuanced and balanced position. Perhaps he has recognised that car enthusiasts are not cut from one piece of timber.
