I don't know wtf he's talking about. I have had 3 generations of M3's, and my '15 m3 has been a complete joy to own and drive. The best trait is when a car rewards your skill with very consistent runs and will punish you when you make bad decisions, which is what the m3 is all about for me.

On the other hand my x5m is being traded for my incoming 991.2 C2S because I have not connected at all owning it for 3 years.

You're cross shopping a BMW X5/M and a 911???

I have seen them, thanks. Didn't realize I mentioned Lambo, Ferrari or Aston Martin.

Indeed. I planned on getting the 991.2 before the 992 starts and I will then replace the m3 in a few years with a suv. In the meantime, if I need to lug things around I'll borrow my folks Cayenne GTS or their Macan.

Failed. Ugly AF.
I agree 992.1 is a failure. Last Jedi was a good movie though. I was touched actually.

Yeow. Last Jedi was terrible in several ways. I'm tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it was terrible. It was last time I I'm ever going to see a Star wars movie in the theater while kathleen kennedy is running the show.

This 992 release has been pretty pathetic. The whole "LA show" was like a bad movie remake or sequel. Take your pick. Anything come to mind??
BMW used to make drivers cars for example and not chase 0-60 & HP figures for example...

don’t hate... my recent purchase was a toss up between a 2008 Z06 and a 2016 650 gran coupe! The Z06 was fantastic btw...

Plus 3. The PDK shifter is THE BEST dual-clutch gear changer on the market. It's almost as good as a manual, just minus the third pedal interaction.

911 has always been defined by long overhangs, especially in the rear, but 991 was going the opposite direction and it has perhaps the shortest overhangs of all of the 911s and I love it. So here goes
17. Longer overhangs with same wheel base length.

And another one is
18. CS rear wheels are too large to my taste.

So here goes the list:
1. Cheap, tacky looking shifter - what a joke this little nub is - awful...something MAYBE Jaguar would conjure up.
2. Mustang-esque toggle switches on dash.
3. Cheap, flimsy door pockets.
4. Squared-off frunk lid.
5. Grotesque 3rd brake light.
6. Uninspired front bumper cover, front view now looks like a VW beetle
7. flush door handles
8. fake exhaust
9. disjointed dash treatment, looks like an 80's oldsmobile
10. huge negative space between the new IP cluster and nav screen, just looks unfinished
11. center console is a mess
12. behind the nubbin, the vertical recessed "nubin juniors" just create a dust trap
13. rotary drive mode - missed opportunity to put drive mode selection back on the (massive) center console
plus...
14. the HVAC vents behind the nubbin appear too small, cheap and an afterthought...placement is wrong
15. Ugly side mirrors.
16. Cupholder positioned where it will be hard to use with MT.
17. Longer overhangs with same wheel base length.
18. CS rear wheels are too large to my taste.

I was simply responding to the illogical/inconsistent comment you made and trying to save you from making a horrible purchase decision. Don't be so sensitive.

I suppose it is what your used to. If your used to a decent sports car, the F80 M3 will leave you wanting and very underwhelmed. If you used to driving Honda Accords and 3 series type vehicles, I suppose an M3 might seem okay. I honestly find nothing redeeming about the car at all and now it apparently needs a new driveshaft for yet another BMW recall and they don't even have any driveshafts in stock for it . .
