Default New 992 Decal

Word has just come in that the new 992 model decal might look like a combination of a more blocky, slightly off 911 decal and the more curly model decal that we all know.

Take it with a grain of salt. My contact mentioned that he saw the decal on a freshly produced 992 and that it might have been a limited edition car...

I doubt it is a limited edition 992. Way too early for that marketing approach. But I do like the old school 911 font.

I would have thought that it would all be the same font. Interesting.

Why do they feel the need to put "911" there??? Does Porsche even think it will get mixed up with something else? (then again they did this on the 991.X also)

Just put Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera GTS, in script *or* maybe just the 911 in block as on option. The mixture of font's looks a little stupid to me.

Whomever is overthinking this stuff needs to get a life.

I guess they simply want to try out something “new” but ran out of ideas 😁

In any case, I’m sure they will again offer all sorts of custom decals so that everybody is happy.

It seems like Porsche isn't the only one overthinking this detail.

Maybe yes, maybe no. The last three new ones I bought,....I just deleted the model altogether and left Porsche. Hopefully that option still remains! The rest is all too wordy.

Same here. Don’t understand why you want these sentence long model decals anyways. Except for the 911 Turbo! ;-)

Agree. Just pure stupid. And yes, why do they feel the need to put ‘911’ on the back of their 55 year icon?

Or remove them yourself.......very simple. I had the paragraph removed and a simple 911 put on. Love it. I've always debadged my cars.
I'd be very surprised if above was on 992. i guess we will find out in 2 weeks.

3 different typefaces on one surface. The monkeys are running the zoo over there.

Interestingly, one of the interior spy shots seems to be showing the same "911" typeface under the shifter:

Not all of them though:
