Default Launch Control Not Working

Hi All. I have a 24’ TTS and started having this weird issue at around 4,000 miles.

Since new this car would go into launch mode in every mode, normal, sport at 4k without response button, 5k with, and sport+ at 5k. showing activated every time.

Now what’s occurring is without response button pressed in normal or sport, launch activated is not showing up and car will lurch forward a bit and I can feel it binding the transmission and producing a weird smell. still will hold at about 4k rpm.

if I do hit response button before launching in normal or sport, launch control will work perfectly….and at 5k.

I’m committing every time.

Taking it dealer but sucks car doesn’t tell you launch is activated before committing. Only way to test this error is to keep fin up the transmission.

anyone else experience this?

That weird smell is you cooking the PDK clutches. Without launch mode activating, you're trying to drive away with the brakes on and the clutches are activating and you're smoking them.

The RPMs should drop and protect itself. I tried to brake load it once and it didn't seem to allow it.

Make sure you stomp down the brake all the way and slap the throttle down all the way.
