Default Delivery day

26 years of hard work in my career and a 26 month wait for allocation/production culminated this week with the delivery of my first Porsche. Early in the process, I considered Aston, M cars, and Mclaren. But the Turbo S was an easy choice… insane performance, advanced engineering, beautiful lines and simply understated.

After spending way too many hours in the Configurator, I landed on a “gentlemen’s build”. I chose Etna Blue as a nod to the 1960 356 B when the color was first (and very briefly) used. It’s a dynamic color that looks completely different depending on the light. It’s just not a color you see in the wild and pics don’t do it justice. The heritage interior was a no brainer for this build and first mod will be upholstering the frunk in houndstooth.

Finally, huge shout out to The Atlanta Porsche Experience Center. The entire day was a highly coordinated white glove experience and I’m surprised how few PEC deliveries there are! I did a BMW European Delivery 12 years ago and the PEC was in a different league. Photos courtesy of Porsche NA Marketing that sent a team member to capture the rare PTS delivery.

P.s. My previous issues with the dealership threatening to pull the allocation unless I bought a watch, was ultimately a non-issue. I complained to the sales rep and when I closed on the vehicle the finance manager gave me the option to buy whatever I wanted with no pressure. May have cost them a few grand in margin, but they saved a lifelong customer.

Absolutely stunning, you did your homework, well done!

That is like the blue version of chalk, subtle and pleasant. Combined with the ED wheels and Heritage Interior, perfection.

Evey time I see that Heritage; I punch myself twice in regret.

Love it. Love it. Love it.

Just needs:
Clear side markers
Numeric pedals if you didn't option aluminum
Smarttop controller
Tire valve stem caps with Porsche crest
I would do custom decals sides and top, but looks good without
