Don't you think that Porsche has fallen behind technologically?

No, I do not think that Porsche has fallen behind technologically.
What I do think is:
1. they are masters at brand management/marketing, just like Apple. They have the means and the tech., but they are releasing it in trickles; and
2. they, similar to their sister brands, are getting too large and many are seeing the results - build quality is down, dealers aren't equipped (even with their new level 4/5 buildings) to handle more customers, etc. etc. Reminds me of the period when MBZ wanted to the largest car brand and had a model for every niche/person - and they fell.

I was not thinking about HUD or same category tech. I would like: better or configurable ABS, quicker pdk, improved suspension and definitely bucket seat in the last Ferraris and BMW are more advanced and usable. I think the real problem is that the typical Porsche upgrade cycle of 8 year is too long.

Quite the opposite, and I’m not sure how i feel about that. Porsche is offering a far more rounded car than it ever has.
Compare today’s lineup to past 911’s, the 992 is incorporating far more mainstream tech than in the past. Historically, nearly all the engineering was out of plain sight - under the hood, so to speak. (E.g. one of the first brands to make 4-wheel disc brakes standard). Driving an 911 meant you were living with many a compromise.
After nearly going out of business, only to be saved by the Cayenne, the influence of the marketing team was cemented.
If I had to guess, I believe the marketing weenies are holding back the engineers (e.g. slow rolling electrification)… ironic.

Couldn’t agree more on the engineering behind Porsche’s reliability. That constant remains.

in 10-15 years..how do you think those gizmos/electronics will be holding up on the other brands?
The 911 is a sports car, not a luxury car.

The same people asking about electronics like hud, etc are the same people unhappy about weight. There is no free lunch. All those Gizmos add weight at expense of performance and that is not even up for debate. Make no mistake, 911 is a performance car first and plenty of luxury cars masquerading as pure performance cars like the BMW M8 which has every electronic Gizmos on earth. Hell in my BMW I even forgot I had HUD.
Porsche gives you a choice to add Gizmos like FAL, ACC and other electronic luxuries if you so wish. Does it have all the useless tech BMW or AUDI have? probably not and a 911 does not need to have all the tech again because the BMW and AUDIs are not a direct competitor. A 911 is a 911.
