Default 992 TT(S) Track Build?

Read a handful of posts in this forum on a “track build” (road racing) for a 992.X TT/S… what does that look like for you? TT or TTS? Configurator options? Aftermarket mods? Tires? 992.1 or 992.2?

cheers,
L76

Elimination of the nannies via moderate tune? Or? Why TT, not TTS? Planning to upgrade Turbos on the TT?
Cheers,

The stock suspension with the RWS is pretty amazing. My modded 997TT with Damptronics and Hoosiers feels like it has less grip than my 992TTS on Pirellis and Techart springs. Consider that the 992TTS is 23 seconds a lap faster at VIR than the 997TT on a 3 mile course. That's how insanely good the new suspension with RWS is

The stock suspension handles track work really well. I have over 60 track days with my TT and I do not have any serious complaints about the stock Sport-PASM. My car serves the dual use of daily driver and track toy, and the stock Sport-PASM strikes an excellent compromise between the two. For a dedicated track car, it may be worth considering a more aggressive suspension setup.

Why? Center locks wheels are generally lighter, and once you get the hang of them, they are just as easy to handle as 5-lugs.

No PDCC on your TT, right?

Right. PDCC and PCCB is one of the reason for me going TT instead of TT-S, but I would have gladly taken the extra 70hp.

I vacillated on this when deciding TTS vs. TT on my build. wrt to 70hp... that can be overcome with tune/turbos/etc. right? wrt to PCCB - is this your preference (?) as performance differences ($$ aside) between PCCB and iron rotors from what I have seen is still open to the jury. I've seen arguments both ways. As for PDCC... there's no way to "turn it off" in the TTS. Assuming your conclusion is that it is a performance degradation? Any ideas of performance degradation of PDCC equipped vs. non equipped?

Thx,
L76

If you replace the stock Turbochargers with an upgrade, supposedly the TT engine is otherwise fundamentally identical to a TTS, so a Turbo-upgraded TT is the same as a Turbo-upgraded TTS.

What I want to know is - are the steel brakes superior to the PCCBs for track driving? I don't do much of that, but that is what I gather from some comments on here.
